Xmas Barrels Increase over previous Year.

The number of barrels handled at the Port Authority during the special Christmas concessions period showed an increase over the 2013 period. During the duty free concession period, which began on November 17, 90 containers, containing 8,972 barrels were handled - up from 7,898 in 2013.
As of Friday, January 9th, there were 120 barrels remaining to be cleared from Port Kingstown.
At Port Campden Park, 65 containers containing 4,700 barrels were handled and as January 9th, 150 barrels remained to be cleared from the port.
The duty free period was originally scheduled to end on December 31, but has been extended to January 17th, 2015.
